How to Create a Happy Life

How to Create a Happy Life

by Shandra LaMotte | Dec 12, 2021 | happiness, Personal Transformation Stories

I want to talk about something that I know a lot of us on the personal growth and transformation journey are struggling with, and that is self-compassion. This is something that many of us want more of in our lives, but we don’t know how to achieve that.  Part of the...
Healing Our Feminine Lineage

Healing Our Feminine Lineage

by Freida Neiman | Oct 6, 2021 | Family, Growth, Personal Transformation Stories

At COR, we’ve been talking a lot recently about feminine lineage, and how certain traits get passed down through our mothers and grandmothers to express themselves in our own lives. We inherit so many fundamental aspects of ourselves from our families, and in many...
How to Love Your Wounded Self

How to Love Your Wounded Self

by Lee Eskey | Sep 8, 2021 | compassion, Growth, Personal Transformation Stories

We all have a Wounded Self – a part of us that feels as though the world didn’t meet us with love and compassion, an experience that hurt us during one of our most vulnerable points of life – early childhood. It’s a normal part of being human on the earth...
How to Transform Chronic Unhealthy Patterns

How to Transform Chronic Unhealthy Patterns

by Lee Eskey | Sep 8, 2021 | Personal Transformation Stories

Most humans operate with some level of unhealthy patterning. To combat this, we need a healthy sense of self-awareness to see all aspects of ourselves in the light of love and truth.  This awareness is what we at COR call the Healthy Self and in this blog, we’re...
The Key to Healthy Leadership: Becoming the Custodian of Your Own Needs

The Key to Healthy Leadership: Becoming the Custodian of Your Own Needs

by Lee Eskey | Jun 15, 2021 | Personal Transformation Stories

One of the essential qualities of leadership is to be the custodian of your needs—and it’s an overlooked quality. We all have needs for security, love, affection, honor, and connection, among other things. Just like the physical needs for food and shelter, when we...
Shifting From Body Shame to Body Power as a Woman

Shifting From Body Shame to Body Power as a Woman

by Natalie Vartanian | May 18, 2021 | body image, new beginnings, Personal Transformation Stories

One of the biggest causes of shame in a woman’s life is her body. Somewhere around 90% of women feel – or have at some point felt – shame regarding their body. Although saddening, this is not surprising, as many of us are taught from a young age that even...

All of us, at some point in our different relation All of us, at some point in our different relationships, are going to come across conflict.

We live in a complex world where different types of conflict are flying around at all levels. It’s inevitable – conflict is bound to happen in every relationship, whether it’s personal, business-related, or even just between acquaintances.

A lot of the time, when we foresee conflict or sense a challenge coming in conversation, we automatically seek to avoid it. Sometimes we’re required to step in, but we don’t want to, and we try to deflate the conflict as quickly as possible. Sometimes we can disengage entirely, and we choose to do so because that's the easier route.

But what we don’t often talk about is that it costs us to avoid these kinds of conversations.

When we choose not to step into these situations, there’s significant fallout. In fact, something inside us withers and dies if we avoid those conflicts enough.

There are consequences to not knowing who we are. There are consequences to not knowing who we are. We can’t lead, live, or thrive if we don’t know who we are, as human beings, at our deepest core levels.

And I don’t just mean “I know what I like, where I’m from, what I care about…” I mean knowing what it means to be a human person.

When we know who we are, when we can ask ourselves this question and actually get it right, then all kinds of leadership possibilities align.

But when we get it wrong, everything falls out of place. We disown our choices. We become indecisive. We allow life to happen to us in reactivity, instead of claiming life. We move into passivity. We don’t know what the meaning or purpose of life is, so we just let it pass us by.

Alternatively, when we know who we are, our leadership aligns. And from here, our whole love flows in more seamless and connected ways.
Leadership happens in a network, through friends a Leadership happens in a network, through friends and connection and support. It doesn’t happen by yourself, and it really doesn’t make sense to do this work without a community to join you, encourage you, and share in your success.

These are just some of the many tools that we’ve cultivated over many years here at COR. In fact, a lot of these are the exact values and practical tools we teach at our Leadership Development Training. So if any of these speak to you, and if you feel you’re ready to take them on, I invite you to check out the LDT. We set aside the better part of a year to cultivate, focus on, and learn about these tools and how they can help you be a better leader in your own life.

The LDT is being offered both online and in-person. The in-person training runs from May 10th – 15th, and the online version will be from May 20th – 22nd.
There are only a few spots left for the in-person training, so sign up now!

Check it out: link in bio.
