Practice, Practice, Practice

Regular Buddy Calls

You are required to have a regular buddy check-in call, at least every two weeks, best is the same day/time.  During these calls you are practicing active listening as well as some of the tools we are teaching, such as somatic inquiry.

For your reference, here are copies of your buddy protocols:

Buddy Check-in Protocol | Somatic Inquiry Process

Buddy Group

Connect with your Buddy Group enough times so you can each take turns facilitating the buddy group in a sharing circle between the in-person LDT sessions. The theme of each call is to check in about what is coming up for each of you in your LDT journey, including insights, successes, and challenges. The calls should be between 45 and 60 minutes.

For your reference, here is a copy of your buddy group protocol:

Ignatian Examen

We recommend you keep going with a daily Ignatian Examen prayer practice at the end of the day. You can find the instructions at the end of the Meditation & Prayer section in your LDT binder.

Here is a link to the FRAMING of the Examen Prayer and here is a link to the actual prayer in PRACTICE.

Nonviolent Communication

Practice your NVC! The only way to learn it is to do it. You can use each other for proxies and facilitators. You can also ask your LDT Mentor to help you to learn this amazingly powerful communication tool properly. Look at the NVC section in your binder or go to https://www.cnvc.org. That site has a lot of free resources.
