Required to staff
◇ You must be present at all mandatory staff meetings and for the entire duration of staffing.
◇ Take some time to review our Staff Guidelines and make sure you understand and agree to what we are asking of you. If you have any questions you can ask them during our conference call, or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
◇ If you are not ready, willing or able to comply with what we are asking of you, please let us know by September 16, 2021.
Mandatory staff Meetings
These meetings are mandatory and an essential part of holding the space for the workshops participants. This is the first time where we all come together and create the depth and safety of the container for the participants. You will be informed about the overall flow of the workshop and your part in it, and all other logistics you will need. If you absolutely can not make the call, please email client care by the end of the day Friday (before the call) and you will receive a recording that must be listened to within 48 hours. Thank you.
The first meeting will be a group video call on Monday, October 4 from 6-7:30pm PT.
Zoom line: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84931887018?pwd=UGZRUVFEQ29tdXkvT09EOEhISXgrZz09
Or enter the following Meeting ID: 849 3188 7018 and Passcode: COR
The second meeting will be on-site on Thursday, October 14 at 11am PT.
Our completion meeting will also be on-site Sunday, October 17 after breakdown, at approximately 3pm PST.
◇ Please be on time and plan to arrive prior to 11:00am to check in – there will be registration for staff before setup begins.
◇ You are welcome to arrive the day before, Wednesday, October 17, after 5:30pm for no extra charge. Please email the event manager to let her know if you would like to arrive early.
◇ The drive from both Los Angeles and San Francisco airport takes about 3.5 – 4 hrs. Leave enough time to drive there and settle in, so we can start our team meeting at 11:00am.
◇ You will need to provide your own lunch for Thursday (and breakfast if you arrive early), but dinner will be provided.
◇ If you are coming from south/southeast of Arroyo Grande, DO NOT take the 166 route/Cat Cyn Road exit, even if GPS tells you to as there are gated roads you will not be able to access. Use the 101, drive through the village of Arroyo Grande and follow the signs to Huasna Valley.
◇ Drive down Cat Canyon until you reach the end of the cul-de-sac. It is an unpaved road so please drive slowly (there are deer and rabbits that often run in the car’s path).
◇ You will see a big white gate and the security key pad is on the left side Press the code to enter (Gate Code: 7535). Follow the driveway to the big house on the left.
6605 Cat Canyon Road

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT ARE THE ACCOMMODATIONS LIKE AT THE WORKSHOP?
We handpick our venue sites for comfort, accessibility, and a concentration on the natural beauty around us. Each site is different. Most sites do offer separate rooms for staff, shared with several other staff, but in some cases staff is required to sleep on floor mats. We put a lot of thought and effort into making sure each staff is as comfortable and well-resourced as possible, asking for sleeping preferences before the workshop. An on-site event manager is there to see to any concerns that come up. If you have questions about your specific event, please contact our Client Care Specialist to ask for more details about the site and event you’re staffing at.
WHAT IS THE FOOD LIKE AT THE WORKSHOP?
We have an on-site chef present to cook healthy meals for all participants, who attempts to cook with as much organic, natural food as possible. We ask for any food allergies or restrictions in the questionnaire, and we can accommodate most needs, including dairy-free, gluten-free and vegetarian. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions or concerns, and we will do all that we can to accommodate those needs. In the rare case that we are not able to, we’ll make sure to communicate that beforehand and provide space for you in the refrigerators on site.
can i do this workshop with a friend or relative?
Yes absolutely! Many people choose to staff the workshop of a close friend or family member, and it’s a very bonding experience. We encourage you to invite anyone who you are close to, and who might also benefit from the weekend.
What if i can’t get there in time, or have to leave early?
You cannot staff unless you can be present for the entirety of staffing. If a conflict comes up that would make it so that you cannot be present the entire time, please consult the cancellation policy, and contact our Client Care Specialist immediately.
What is the policy if i need to transfer or cancel?
Please refer to our cancellation policy for more information on this, and contact our Client Care Specialist if you need to discuss a transfer.
