In-Person Modules

Our in person schedule is as follows for 2025/2026:

◇ April 26 – May 1, 2025 VIRGINIA

◇ September 13 – 18, 2025 VIRGINIA

◇ January 15-18, 2026 CALIFORNIA

The first two modules are at the stunning Land Celebration in Gore, Virginia, a beautiful retreat site that features several group sleeping rooms, a swimming pond, a hot tub, a large kitchen and dining area, and a beautiful group process room.  The buildings and amenities are nestled on a large rural property with hiking trails, rolling green lawns, three walking labyrinths, and several multi-denominational shrines located throughout the property. It is a beautiful setting for the deepest work you’ve likely ever done. Our third module will be held at Four Springs Retreat Center in Middletown, CA.

It is highly recommended that you start to plan your travel arrangements early. Please see the logistics pages for each module for details on arrival, departure, packing lists, and shuttles.

MENTORING Sessions

As an ALFTer, you will be both a mentee and a mentor. Here’s what this will look like:

MENTORED BY AN ALFT ALUMNI

You will receive individual coaching sessions each month from an ALFT Alumni. It is your responsibility to book these 60-minute monthly sessions with your mentor. Please reach out to your assigned mentor as soon as possible and schedule your sessions.

Please complete the following form and provide to your Mentee at least 24 hours in advance of each mentoring session.

ALFT Monthly Mentoring Session Questionnaire

MENTOR AN LDT MEMBER

You will also be responsible for mentoring an assigned LDT Mentee. These are individual, 60-min monthly mentoring sessions. You will be assigned an LDT Mentee after the first LDT Mod 1, and then assigned a new Mentee after Mod 2. It is the LDT Mentee’s responsibility to be in touch to schedule with you; however, please be responsive and promptly schedule your sessions.

After each session, you will briefly report on your session in your MRF.

Additionally, we encourage you to seek the support of a coach or therapist to work through your own deeper issues that might arise during the ALFT. Please contact Client Care for a list of available COR Coaches, if you wish to explore this.

Practice & Resources

Regular Buddy Calls

You are required to have a regular buddy checkup call, at least every two weeks, best is the same day/time. During these calls you are practicing active listening as well as some of the tools we are teaching, such as somatic inquiry.

For your reference, here are copies of your buddy protocols:

ALFT Buddy Check-In Protocols

Practice groups

We highly recommend that you connect with your cohort regularly, several times a month, to practice the many skills and tools you are learning in the ALFT. It should be at least 2 people, but could also be three or more of you, with one or more of you observing and giving feedback. Or it could be a group of you to practice any of the group processes. This is peer lead and peer organized. The sooner you organize this, the better!

Mindfulness Exercises:

Body Scan

Sacred Pause

Mindful Walking

Thoughts and Sounds

Staffing

One great way to practice your skills, continue your own personal growth, and be in touch with the community is to staff upcoming COR Events! Take a look at the Calendar or go to the Staffing Page to look at upcoming staffing options.
