PREPARING

COR Workshops are deep, transformational experiences that aim to offer all who attend a space to meet and process difficult life experiences to gain more agency, wisdom, and inner peace. In short, this isn’t light work.

In support of a beneficial, positive, and safe experience, it is highly recommended that all who attend a COR workshop experience abide by several self-care, preparation and integration practices in the week before and after the event.

  • Get sufficient sleep and do your best to plan restful days
  • Eat healthy, nourishing foods
  • Practice self-care in whatever ways best support you such as walks in nature, exercise, taking nourishing baths or showers, meditation/prayer, and spacious time at home
  • Receive emotional/spiritual support as needed from a coach, therapist or spiritual director, if needed
  • Limit or avoid high intensity media or deeply disturbing or upsetting environments
  • Abstain from consciousness altering experiences including but not limited to taking recreational drugs, alcohol to the point of inebriation, medicine journeys or other intense expansive experiences.
  • Begin reducing your most prominent addictive behaviors.

If you have any questions about best practices in preparation or integration for any COR workshop, training or event, please contact Client Care.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What are the accommodations like at the workshop?

We handpick our venue sites for comfort, accessibility, and a concentration on the natural beauty around us. Each site is different, but all feature stunning locations with comfortable accommodations for each participant. Most rooms are shared with one or two other participants, and some venues offer private accommodations. We put a lot of thought and effort into making sure each participant is comfortable and well-resourced, asking for sleeping preferences before the workshop. An on-site event manager is there to see to any concerns that come up.

Can I have my own room?

All rooms at Elohee Retreat Center are private rooms with a shared bath with one other person. Private bathrooms are available for an additional cost. Food and Accommodations are paid directly to Elohee Retreat Center and are not included in your registration. When you make payment, you have the option of selecting your room type. Reserve your room here (by January 17).

can i do this workshop with a friend or relative?

Yes absolutely! Many people choose to complete their workshop with a close friend or family member present, and it’s a very bonding experience. We encourage you to invite anyone you are close to who might also benefit from the weekend.

What if i can’t get there in time, or have to leave early?

Each process of the weekend is incredibly important. It’s key that you be on site before the workshop starts at 3:45pm, and that you are able to stay until the very end. Please plan accordingly when booking your travel.
If will be (or are) late, please email us in advance, info@elohee.org, with your expected arrival time AND call/text 770-316-9195 when you are 30 minutes away so Elohee can arrange a staff member to meet you. Please also let our event manager Cassie know you will be late. 630-802-4848.

What is the food like at the workshop?

Elohee’s kitchen serves delicious, nutritious, seasonal meals that support mind, body, and spirit using local ingredients whenever possible. Elohee can accommodate a variety of diets including vegetarian, vegan, omnivore, and pescatarian. If you have specific dietary needs you may want to bring food with you to supplement our meals, there is a refrigerator and microwave available for guest use in the Dining Hall.

What is the policy if i need to transfer or cancel?

The workshop fees are non-transferable. If you cancel more than 60 days prior to the event, the fee is refundable; if you cancel between 60 and 30 days prior to the event, you will receive half of the payment; and if you cancel less than 30 days prior to the event, the payment is non-refundable. Please contact Client Care if you have any questions.

Elohee’s Accommodations cancellation policy is separate from COR and can be found here.
