Arrivals & Departures

Arrival: Thursday, January 7
◇ Plan to arrive at Elohee at 9:00am on Thursday, January 7 for staff check-in and to settle into your room. Please be on time. The Staff Meeting for LDT Mod 3 begins promptly at 10:00am.

◇ When you arrive, park in Elohee’s secure lower parking lot. Elohee will shuttle you and your luggage from the parking lot up to your cottage. Please allow approximately 20 minutes for this process.

◇ If an emergency causes you to arrive late, call 770-316-9195 when you are approximately 30 minutes away so an Elohee staff member can meet you.

◇ You are welcome to arrive a day early. Elohee’s Wednesday night fee is $137. If you would like to reserve your spot for Wednesday, January 6 (please arrive after 3:00pm), click HERE.

Departure: Sunday, January 10
◇ Staffing ends Sunday, January 10 at 2:30pm.

Travel

◇ The closest major airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), approximately two hours from Elohee.

◇ Please add your travel information to COR’s Arrival & Departure Sheet for our event manager. We highly recommend carpooling with other staff. Please use your Healthy Self to discern whether carpooling with a participant is the right choice for you, keeping in mind that staff arrival times are earlier than participant arrival times. We encourage you to maintain appropriate boundaries with anyone with whom you have a professional or mentoring relationship. Reach out to info@corexperience.com if you need support.

◇ Elohee does not provide transportation to or from the airport. Options from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport include:

  1. Rental cars
  2. Kaafi Aaadan Taxi Cab Service: 404-519-9272 · kaafi59@gmail.com
  3. Uber or Lyft

Prices vary considerably, so compare services. Renting a car is often the most economical option. Uber and Lyft will drive to Elohee, but return rides should be arranged in advance as Elohee is in a rural area.

◇ Please bring your own dinner for Wednesday (if you are arriving early) and your breakfast and lunch for Thursday. Dinner on Thursday will be the first meal provided onsite. A refrigerator, microwave, and dishes are available for your use.

Elohee Retreat Center

◇ LDT Module 3 is being held at Elohee’s Bald Mountain location.

When using GPS or Elohee’s directions, be sure you are navigating to Bald Mountain, not Thanksgiving House.

Responsibilities

◇ Our event manager will be notifying you of your job assignment(s), so be on the lookout for that email as the module approaches.

◇ For a general overview of how to participate in group processes throughout the session, please read the General Participation During Group Processes below.

General Participation During
Group Processes

◇ Sharing Circles: Depending on numbers, you may or may not participate in these. If you are sharing, please feel free to share whatever is on your heart, except “behind the scenes situations”, i.e. if you have a charge with the leaders, or other staff or with any participants. Please use our staff meetings to share about those.

◇ Body pieces: You participate in all of them, and for time sake please hold back with your feedback, unless something is burning, since not everyone can give feedback to everyone.

◇ Other Expectations: You are expected to be on time, to be at all meditations and be a model of full participation and present and loving dedication to the processes. You are also expected to be available for the participants if they need extra support, or if they need to clear charges with each other. You can then facilitate a clearing between them, using the NVC model.

◇ The deep processes, like the Emotional Release process, will only be done by participants.

◇ Teaching sessions: If there is an uneven number, you will take turns buddying up with a participant and holding space. When you are buddied up, you participate, like they do. When you are holding space, you are available to help and hold space. If there is an even number of participants, you can participate with each other, or assist, as directed by the facilitator(s).

◇ NVC: We expect you to brush up on your NVC knowledge so you can handle using this technique to help clear charges between participants. We highly recommend reading the Non-Violent Communication book by Marshall Rosenberg again. The NVC website is also very helpful and has many resources.

Stay Engaged. Keep Staffing!
