COR WOMAN

Your Full Expression as a Woman

You’ve built a life. You’ve gathered experiences, responsibilities, relationships, wisdom, and hard-earned lessons along the way.

And perhaps you’ve also noticed that growth doesn’t end when life starts looking good…

Sometimes that’s exactly when the deeper questions begin.

Who am I becoming?
What wants to emerge now?

What would it look like to live with more authenticity, freedom, connection, and joy?

At COR, we see these moments as initiations. They are the thresholds in life that invite us beyond old patterns and into a deeper relationship with ourselves.

COR Woman is a 3.5-day rite of passage for women who are ready to answer that call.

WHAT IF THE LONGING YOU’RE FEELING ISN’T A PROBLEM TO SOLVE, BUT AN INVITATION TO ANSWER?

What is COR Woman?

COR Woman is a 3.5-day initiation weekend for women who want more than insight alone.

It’s a chance to step away from the demands of everyday life and enter a space intentionally designed for transformation.

Through experiential processes, skilled facilitation, embodied practices, deep reflection, and the support of an extraordinary community of women, you’ll discover new ways of relating to yourself, your body, your relationships, and your life.

This isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about uncovering more of who you already are.

Many women leave feeling more connected to themselves, more trusting of their inner knowing, more grounded in their worth, and more alive than they have in years.

Initiations: The Thresholds That Change Us

Throughout history, women have gathered to mark life’s major transitions: becoming a woman, becoming a mother, experiencing loss, beginning again, claiming a new chapter…

These rites of passage helped women make meaning of life’s changes and move through them in the company of others.

Most of us don’t have those spaces anymore.

Instead, we navigate life’s biggest transitions alone.

COR Woman is a modern rite of passage.

A sacred pause from ordinary life where you can listen more deeply, let go of what no longer serves you, and reconnect with the woman you are becoming.

There are moments in life that ask us to leave something behind and step into something new.

where you are

COR Woman is for every woman who is ready for a big shift and a lasting change, who wants to discover, rediscover, or deepen her understanding of all parts of herself.

We will meet you where you are. This weekend is not a lecture. This weekend is an experience. You choose how deep you want to go.

Whether you’ve never done a workshop before or have done dozens, you’ll find new layers, new insights, new levels of joy, of connection within yourself, to your intuition, to your body, new levels of healing from anything that has happened in your life to make you forget who you truly are: a unique, amazing, wonderful human being, no striving required.

Themes WE OFTEN EXPLORE

Every woman comes into COR Woman with her own history, thoughts, feelings, and issues she wants to address, but there are many common themes.

Patterns of unhealthy relationships

◇ A feeling of being disconnected from your body, or shame about your body

◇ Wanting to heal from past trauma and abuse at a greater depth than you’ve been able to receive in traditional talk therapy modalities

A sense of being stuck in life, or a particular area of life / Feelings of overwhelm in life and work

◇ An inability to ask for what you want, and to set healthy boundaries

◇ An inner voice that constantly criticizes, belittles and makes wrong

Feeling like you aren’t enough or can’t be yourself authentically

◇ A lack of sex drive or passion for life

◇ A persistent inner voice that tells you there should be more to life

We are far more similar than we are different, and whatever it is you are facing, it’s likely another WOman present is facing something similar.  You are not alone.

Who this is for

COR Woman may be for you if:

◇ You’ve built a good life but sense there’s another level of authenticity, freedom, or aliveness available to you.
◇ You want more meaningful relationships, including a deeper relationship with yourself.
◇ You’re ready to move beyond patterns that no longer fit who you’re becoming.
◇ You long to trust yourself more fully and live with greater clarity and confidence.
◇ You’re seeking an experience that engages your heart, mind, body, and spirit.
◇ You feel a pull toward something more, even if you can’t yet put it into words.

COR Woman may not be for you if:

◇ You’re looking for someone to fix you or tell you who to be.
◇ You want a purely intellectual workshop focused on concepts rather than experience.
◇ You’re unwilling to honestly explore yourself and your patterns.
◇ You’re not interested in personal growth, emotional maturity, or self-reflection.
◇ You prefer to do this work entirely within your existing religious or spiritual tradition.

What’s possible

COR Woman is your opportunity to let your guard down, to stop trying to be perfect, to let your mind and body and heart do whatever they have been wanting to do, to breathe, to cry and scream and laugh and dance if you feel moved to do so. It is your opportunity to go into the heart of you, to be heard, to be seen, and to be loved and appreciated for the unique and amazing woman you naturally are at your core. What is on the other side of this? Freedom.

Your personal takeaways and healings will be unique to you, but these are common breakthroughs that women experience after COR Woman, and what is possible for you:

◇ A deep love of your body without changing anything about it / A sense of being beautiful just as you are

◇ A connection to authenticity, and an internal sense of worthiness

◇ An understanding of your deeper patterns, reactions, and emotional triggers

◇ An ability to communicate clearly and in healthy, powerful ways with your friends and loved ones

◇ A sense of freedom in your body, and in your life

◇ A strong sense of confidence in yourself and your ability to speak your truth

◇ A reigniting of passion in your life, and a deep sense of being sexy and vibrantly alive

◇ Permission to feel all your feelings, and tools to do so in healthy, productive ways

◇ Deep long-lasting healing

◇ A sense of sisterhood and comfort with women, and deep friendships with other participants

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many people are at the workshop?

Our workshops are all small group format, generally running between 15 and 22 participants. For COR Woman, there are at least 3 facilitators for this size group, and anywhere from 6-12 additional staff women there to assist and provide support.

What are the food and accommodations like at the workshop?

We handpick our venue sites for comfort, accessibility, and a concentration on the natural beauty around us. Each site is different, but all feature lovely locations with comfortable accommodations for each participant. Most rooms are shared with one or two other participants. We put a lot of thought and effort into making sure each participant is comfortable and well-resourced, asking for sleeping preferences and checking on all dietary limitations before the workshop.  An on-site event manager is there to see to any concerns that come up.

What is the diversity like at these workshops?

We celebrate every type of woman at this workshop, every age, ethnicity, size, religious background, sexual orientation, and ideological stance. There’s no “right” way to be a woman, there is only your way, and we honor all differences. We’ve had people of all religious backgrounds, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and lifestyles attend COR Woman, and we work hard to make sure that it’s a safe and inclusive space.

IS THERE A RELIGIOUS ASPECT TO THIS RETREAT? WHAT IF I HAVE A SPECIFIC BELIEF SYSTEM OR NO BELIEF SYSTEM AT ALL?

We welcome anyone from any or no religious or spiritual background and have had people from all walks of life participate in these workshops, including Christians, Muslims, Orthodox Jews, Buddhists, Taoists, Mystics, Agnostics, and Atheists. At COR, we do believe that inner work is done most holistically and effectively when we address all aspects of our humanity; including the physical, the emotional, the mental aspects of humanity, as well as a fourth dimension, the spiritual aspect. We use concepts such as meditation, prayer/invocation, and Higher Power/Grace, but we do this in as an inclusive way as possible, allowing you to define this for yourself. We don’t push any particular religion or dogma and allow for everyone’s unique beliefs.

HOW DO I GET THERE? WHAT ARE THE ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES?

We are unable to provide transportation to and from the airport for any of our events. Every event site does have parking, and we provide a carpooling forum for participants and comprehensive logistics information once registered. As the sites can be anywhere from one to three hours from a major airport, we highly suggest carpooling if possible if you are arriving from out of town.  For every event, participants should plan to arrive for registration at 5pm on Thursday, and plan to not depart until the end of lunch at 2pm on Sunday.

ARE YOUR WORKSHOPS ONLY FOR STRAIGHT people?

We welcome women and men into our community from all walks of life, including those who are lesbian, gay, and bisexual. We have many alumni from these communities. We work hard to make the weekends safe and inclusive for people of all sexual orientations.

What are the facilitator’s qualifications, and what kind of training do they have?

Our facilitators are all trained coaches and professionals. They often come to us with years of experience. Even so, in order to facilitate a workshop for us, they are required to do extensive training with our organization, including two years of leadership and facilitation training as well as ongoing training and oversight assisting at workshops, before becoming fully certified to become a lead facilitator.  For most facilitators, this process takes 4-6 years to full certification. You can read more about our facilitators and their unique qualifications on our team page.

Why is this workshop so expensive?

Our workshops include all food and accommodations, as well as a fully facilitated four week long follow up program.  They require at least two highly trained facilitators and an on-site event manager, who all get paid for their time. We work hard to keep costs as low as possible, in order to keep our workshops accessible, but we know that they can still be cost-prohibitive for some. If finances are an issue, please see our information about financial aid.

I’m interested in financial aid options. What kind of assistance is available if I cannot afford the workshop?

We offer no-fee payment plans for all our workshops so that you can spread the payment out over four monthly payments if you register at least 4.5 months in advance of the workshop. Financial aid is available for some of our workshops. To see if financial aid is available for the workshop of interest, please email the production team directly for that specific workshop (links are provided above in the registration section). You an also learn more about our COR Community Foundation nonprofit and the scholarships that they provide here.

Will this workshop “fix” me?

No one is going to wave a magic wand and “fix” you at this workshop. Instead, it’s an opportunity for you to do real, deep inner work on yourself, in the company of similarly committed women, under the guidance of skilled facilitators who have all done this work before you.  You will receive deep healing at the workshop, healing that can last decades, not a surface feeling that fades within days or weeks. However, we have found that for most of us, the journey is not in fixing anything, it’s in accepting all the parts of ourselves, understanding them, and then moving forward with compassion.

I’m not into group stuff. Is this still for me?

COR Woman is a different type of group experience. It’s not a lecture or a group experience where we tell our stories all weekend. Most of the processes are an internal journey of your own self. You are never required to share anything, and you are welcome to be exactly where you are the entire weekend. If you are open to trying a new way, it is incredibly powerful to move through processes as a group. You receive as much healing from watching others as you do from your own process and also develop a deep bond with the other participants.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?

This work started in England in 1993. Thousands of people from all over Europe, the U.S. and Canada have participated. The workshops continue to be led in locations throughout the U.S. and, through a sister company, in England.

96% of participants report that they are grateful they said “Yes!” to attending this workshop, and 92% say this workshop was
life-changing.
