Important Information for Your Upcoming
Leadership Development Training (Module III)

Please read through this page in its entirety, and please provide us with information we will need in order to best take care of you.

Dates & Times

 Please take a moment to put the following events/deadlines into your calendar:

Travel

◇  Plan to arrive on site by 1:30pm on January 9th for check-in.

If you are arriving to the area on January 8th, we recommend booking an AirBnB or local hotel as we cannot accommodate early arrivals for participants. If you need further assistance, please email our Client Care Manager.

Please note, the first meal provided is Thursday dinner, and the last meal provided is Sunday lunch. Please arrange to bring your own meals if you are coming early.

◇ If you have an emergency and must arrive later than 2:15pm, please let us know as we’ll begin promptly at 2:30pm.

◇ Please have lunch beforehand, as the first meal we provide will be dinner.

◇ Willow Springs Lodge is 1.5 hours from both the Sacramento International Airport and the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, and is approximately 3 hours drive from San Francisco.

Driving Directions:

From Sacramento/Bay Area take I-80 heading east. At Auburn, take exit 119B to Hwy 49 North to Grass Valley. Just beyond Grass Valley/Nevada City, turn left and continue east on Hwy 49 (towards Downieville) for approximately 15 miles at which point you will most likely lose cell service until you reach the lodge.

When you reach the green “North San Juan” sign, put on your right blinker.  Continue for a very short 1/10 mile to the first pull-out on the right (not the gravel street) and the first building on your right, grey with a red roof. The address is 29085 State Highway 49.

 

TRAVEL INFORMATION

There are numerous airports to choose from in Northern California. Below is a list of airports, beginning from the closest to the farthest from the site. Please use Google Maps to determine which option will be best for you.

Driving & Carpool Tips:

If you are flying from outside of California, please contact local participants to request a carpool, or plan to rent a car from the airport and perhaps share the rental with other out-of-state participants. Likewise, if you are a local participant, please contact your peers to also set up carpools, if needed. Here is a link to the carpool forum to coordinate your needs. It is your responsibility to know how long it will take to drive to the site from your location, and allow enough time for your arrival.

WHAT TO BRING

◇ A large covered water bottle

◇ A leak-proof travel cup for hot tea (you will NOT be able to bring any open containers into the group room)

◇ Your organized Training binder with enough note paper

◇ At least 2 pens

◇ Any materials needed to do your review presentation (to the whole cohort)

◇ Any materials needed to present a process of your project (to your small group)

◇ Whatever device you use to access online music for your Project Presentation (or body piece, if applicable)

◇ A Blue Tooth speaker, if you use music for your Project Presentation (and/or body piece, if applicable). ***Please download any music in advance of arriving

◇ An item that represents the Divine to you, to be put on the altar for the duration of the weekend

◇ Loose comfortable clothes for 4 days

◇ Dress in warm/heavy layers, and be sure to include workout/yoga clothes and a shawl or sweaters.

◇ A warm jacket, beanie or hat, gloves

◇ Warm socks/slippers

◇ A pair of good hiking/running shoes and boots, if desired

◇ A swimsuit (for hot tub and sauna, as time allows)

◇ Any supplements, or special dietary items you may need

◇ Toiletry items, including shampoo/conditioner, body wash, make-up, etc.

Your own beach towel for use in the hot tub/sauna (1 towel per person is provided onsite for indoor shower use only) and optional robe

◇ An alarm clock, watch/time keeper AND a wrist watch

◇ A flashlight or headlamp with working (and spare) batteries

Optional: Extra blanket (if you know you run cold an extra blanket may be helpful). If you live locally (vs. flying), consider bringing an extra for roommates

Food & Accommodations

◇ Please send us your food and accommodation payment, no later than December 6th.

◇ The total F&A cost for LDT III is $595
