LDT MODULE II:
STAFF: AUGUST 8 AT 12:00 PM – august 13 AT 4:00 PM
Dates & Times
Please take a moment to put the following events into your calendar
◇ Add your flight details to the arrivals/departure sheet
◇ It takes about 1.5 hours to get to the site, and you are responsible for getting yourself to the Land Celebration. We recommend three options:
Option 1: Using LYFT or UBER (estimated cost one way: $130-200)
Option 2: There is also a great local taxi service:
Hidalgo Taxi (ask for Rosalio) at 540-535-6488. You can arrange for him to pick you up at Dulles and also drive you back at the end of the LDT. (Estimated cost one way: $185)
Option 3: Book a private car service to get you there
We highly recommend you coordinate with your fellow staff on your arrival time so you can share a ride to the Land Celebration and split the fare.
NOTE: LYFT and UBER may not be reliable. Many drivers don’t want to drive that far out into the country. And it can be particularly challenging to get a LYFT or UBER driver to pick you up from The Land Celebration at the end of the event, even if you pre-schedule it.
Regardless of Ride Share/Carpooling preference, everyone needs to fill out their information on this spreadsheet so we have your flight information.
Flight Scheduling Tips
◇ Arrival – Recommended you arrive anytime on the 7th. Coordinate ride-sharing in advance to get to The Land Celebration. If you are driving and want to arrive on the 8th, please arrive onsite by 10:45am.
◇ Departure – Book your flight out for 7:00pm ET or later on the 13th or the day after.

General Participation During Group Processes
◇ Sharing Circles: Most of the time, all the participants will share, and you will not–except for
◇ Body pieces: You participate in all of them, and for time sake please hold back with your feedback, unless something is burning, since not everyone can give feedback to everyone.
◇ Other Expectations: You are expected to be on time, to be at all meditations and be a model of full participation and present and loving dedication to the processes. You are also expected to be available for the participants if they need extra support, or if they need to clear charges with each other. You can then facilitate a clearing between them, using the NVC model.
◇ The deep processes, like the Emotional Release process, will only be done by participants.
◇ Teaching sessions: If there is an uneven number, you will take turns buddying up with a participant and holding space. When you are buddied up, you participate,
◇ NVC: We expect you to brush up on your NVC knowledge so you can handle using this technique to help clear charges between participants. We highly recommend reading the Non-Violent Communication book by Marshall Rosenberg again. The NVC website is also very helpful and has many resources.
We are looking forward to what will be a wonderful training. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
